Chorus

The Graysville Chorus is a non-auditioned choir made up of 4th and 5th grade students. The chorus is taught and directed by our music teacher, Mr. Pittman. The chorus meets on Tuesdays after school until 3:45 pm. Our Chorus performs each year during the Christmas season at GES and at other venues in the surrounding area. The Chorus also presents a spring concert and sings the National Anthem at a Chattanooga Lookouts game.

Mr. Pittman currently teaches Elementary music at Graysville Elementary. Mr. Pittman also teaches Drumline/Percussion with Lakeview Ft. Oglethorpe High School Percussion Section. He has served on staff and arranged music at many other band programs in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Mr. Pittman is a graduate of Jacksonville State University, where he majored in Music Education while studying percussion with Dr. Tony McCutchen and Mr. Clint Gillespie while performing with the renowned JSU "Marching Southerners", the JSU Chamber Winds, the Percussion Ensemble, and the Steel Band. Mr. Pittman holds memberships with the Georgia Music  Educators Association, the Percussive Arts Society, and the National Association for Music.
